A participatory process is a sequence of participatory activities (e.g. first filling out a survey, then making proposals, discussing them in face-to-face or virtual meetings, and finally prioritizing them) with the aim of defining and making a decision on a specific topic.
Examples of participatory processes are: a process of electing committee members (where candidatures are first presented, then debated and finally a candidacy is chosen), participatory budgets (where proposals are made, valued economically and voted on with the money available), a strategic planning process, the collaborative drafting of a regulation or norm, the design of an urban space or the production of a public policy plan.
About this process
Per elaborar el Pla de Mobilitat Urbana de Viladecans (PMU), hem desenvolupat un procés de participació per a fer-ne partícip tota la ciutadania. El 4 de juny del 2013 es van presentar les línies de diagnosi a la Comissió Permanent i al Grup de Treball del Pla de Mobilitat, que pertanyen al Consell de Ciutat.
Dins aquest procés de debat i reflexió, es va celebrar un taller de participació el 4 de juliol del 2013 a l’Ateneu d’Entitats Pablo Picasso, on van assistir més de 70 persones. En aquest apartat pots consultar tots els documents del procés participatiu.
